      Any injury to your teeth, gums or mouth that results in extreme pain or discomfort constitutes and emergency. Pain is not always an indication of an emergency, there are other oral issues that may not be painful. If you are unsure, it’s always better to make the call and protect your smile and oral health.

      A few dental issues that may require urgent care are:

      • Toothache – A toothache may be a symptom of many different dental complications. This discomfort may suggest that you have a tooth infection, which would require a minor root canal in order to avoid extraction. A minor toothache may be indicative of a cavity which simply requires a filling. Regardless of the severity of the case, a toothache should not be taken lightly or ignored. Seek treatment as soon as possible in order to avoid severe pain or more serious issues.
      • Broken, Chipped or Cracked Teeth – Damage to a tooth can be extremely painful, especially if it extends to the root. We are able to provide pain relief and restoration for any damaged teeth you may have. For cosmetic issues, we are able to conceal the appearance of chips and cracks with dental bonding or porcelain veneers. If you suffered more extensive damage, Dr. Khurram will be able to prepare a customized dental crown.
      • Lost tooth – If your tooth becomes displaced due to an injury, it is essential that you see a dentist immediately. If addressed in a timely manner, there’s a better chance that we can prevent the loss of the tooth permanently. It is possible to salvage a lost tooth if it has not been outside of the socket for too long. If we are unable to salvage your natural tooth, we have plenty of options for restoring the missing tooth.
